Collectible Set Screw Collar

This Climax Metal Products C-231-S collar is listed as a new sports memorabilia collectible rather than an industrial component. It appeals to enthusiasts who acquire vintage hardware branding or power-transmission ephemera for display or archival purposes.

Transparent Finish And Proposition 65 Notice

The transparent colour distinguishes this example visually while the California Proposition 65 warnings disclose exposure to chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive harm. These notices inform collectors about handling considerations without altering the item's display value.

Model C-231-S Identifies The Variant

The C-231-S designation is the sole specification that confirms which set screw collar variant this is. Buyers verifying catalogue accuracy or completing a branded hardware sequence rely on this exact model reference.

Questions about this item

Will the set screw on the C-231-S collar need periodic tightening or replacement?

The C-231-S uses a standard set screw design; check the screw for wear or loosening during routine equipment maintenance and replace if threads strip or the tip deforms.

What is the first limitation the C-231-S collar reaches under continuous load?

The holding power of the single set screw against the shaft is the primary limit; excessive torque or vibration can cause the collar to slip before any material fatigue occurs.

Does the C-231-S collar generate noticeable heat or noise when running all day?

As a passive metal collar with no moving parts, the C-231-S produces no operational noise and negligible heat beyond normal ambient conduction from the shaft.
