An end stop collar designed for power transmission equipment, supplied new in a transparent finish
The Climax Metal Products ESC-050-S is a transparent end stop collar designed for use with bearings, V-belts and power transmission equipment. It provides a fixed stopping point on a shaft or rod to limit travel in linear or rotary motion systems. The collar suits maintenance engineers, machinery builders and hobbyists assembling drive-line components who need a simple, visible position stop.
As a passive mechanical component the collar generates no heat, draws no electrical power and produces no audible noise during operation. Its transparent material allows visual confirmation of position without requiring sensors or indicators. The part remains dimensionally stable across the normal temperature range found in industrial and workshop environments.
The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning stating it contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Buyers who require documentation free of such substances should request a material declaration before purchase. The notice does not affect the mechanical function of the collar.

Slide the collar onto the shaft, position it at the required stop point, then tighten the set screw firmly; the step often missed is verifying the collar seats flush against the shaft shoulder before final torque.
Inspect the set screw and collar bore periodically for wear or corrosion; replace the collar if the bore elongates or the screw no longer holds the required position.
The set-screw holding force is the first limit; prolonged vibration or axial load can loosen the screw, allowing the collar to shift from its 50 position.
