Metric Clamping Collar

The Climax Metal Products M1C-60 is a metric one-piece clamping collar designed for securing components on shafts in power transmission assemblies. It suits maintenance engineers and hobbyists who need a simple, reusable fastening method without marring the shaft surface.

Shaft Compatibility Check

Verify that the shaft diameter matches the collar’s metric bore before ordering. Confirm the shaft material and finish are suitable for clamping force, and ensure there is enough axial space for the one-piece width. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Installation and Operation

The transparent collar installs by sliding over the shaft and tightening the integral clamp screw to lock position. Normal use generates negligible heat and noise because there are no moving parts or friction surfaces beyond the initial clamping contact. Power draw is not applicable for this passive mechanical fastener.
