Metric two-piece clamping collar, model M2C-42, sold new as a collectible item
The Climax Metal Products M2C-42 is a metric two-piece clamping collar supplied as a new collectible item. It belongs to the Sports Memorabilia and Collectibles category for enthusiasts of industrial hardware. The transparent finish shows the component clearly for display purposes. Buyers seeking functional power-transmission parts for active machinery should look elsewhere.
This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for exposure to a chemical known to cause cancer. A second warning covers chemicals known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. No thermals, noise or power-draw data apply to a static collectible. The item is intended for display rather than operational use.
The collar arrives new and ready for a collection shelf without additional preparation. Orders valued at 75 or more qualify for free shipping direct from the manufacturer. No special mounting hardware or clearance allowances are required for display. Collectors needing multiple variants will have to source other models separately.

Separate the two halves, place them around the shaft, insert the socket-head cap screws through both halves, and tighten each screw alternately to the recommended torque; the step most often missed is alternating the tightening sequence, which prevents uneven clamping.
Periodically re-check screw torque after the first hours of operation and whenever vibration increases; replace the collar if the bore shows wear, the screw threads strip, or the halves no longer meet evenly.
The clamping force drops first if screw torque relaxes, so the practical limit is the torque retention of the fasteners under continuous vibration and thermal cycling.
