Questions about this item

Will the MC-50-S set screw collar need periodic screw tightening or lubrication during service?

The collar uses a set-screw locking method; check the screw torque at routine maintenance intervals and re-tighten if vibration has loosened it.

What is the first limit reached when the MC-50-S collar runs continuously on a rotating shaft?

The holding force of the single set screw is the limiting factor; excessive axial load or sustained vibration can cause the collar to slip on the shaft.

Does the MC-50-S collar generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

The collar itself has no moving parts and produces no measurable heat or noise; any temperature rise comes from the shaft and bearings it clamps to.
