The Dayton 1LVT9 is a closed-loop HTD timing belt built for general industrial power transmission. It uses a neoprene body with nylon tooth coating and fiberglass reinforcing cords. The belt runs on a single-sided tooth profile with a pitch of 8 mm and a pitch length of 1040 mm.

Suited For Synchronous Drives Not For Variable Speed

This belt suits machinery that requires precise synchronous motion at a fixed 8 mm pitch. It is not for buyers who need a V-belt profile, a different tooth count than 130 teeth, or a length other than 1040 mm. Applications demanding a wider top width than 85 mm or a double-sided tooth design should look at alternative constructions.

Straightforward Loop Installation Check Alignment

Installation consists of routing the closed loop over matching HTD pulleys and tensioning to the equipment specification. The fiberglass cords resist stretch but can be damaged by prying or sharp edges during fitting. Most issues come from misaligned pulleys or running outside the -22 to 194 Degrees F temperature range, which degrades the neoprene compound.
