Wireless 1080p doorbell with voice changer

The Clover J9-GX-U is a battery-powered wireless doorbell camera that records 1080p video over a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi link. It includes a voice changer for privacy, PIR human detection with adjustable zones, infrared night vision and a 120° viewing angle. The IP65-rated housing resists water and dust for outdoor mounting.

Suits renters and owners wanting

This unit suits households that want instant mobile alerts, two-way talk and free rolling seven-day cloud clips without a monthly fee. It is not for homes that only have 5GHz Wi-Fi, nor for users who need continuous recording or local storage without cloud reliance.

2.4GHz Wi-Fi only — no 5GHz support

The single specification that decides fit is the wireless radio: the doorbell connects exclusively to 2.4GHz networks and will not join a 5GHz band. Verify your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz SSID before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio draw enough power to drain the battery quickly when the doorbell records all day?

The unit is rated at 3.6 watt_hours and the supplier claims up to three years of standby life, so continuous recording will reduce that span but the radio itself is low-power.

What must I already have at home for the J9-GX-U to connect and store clips?

A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, a smartphone for the CloudEdge or Mubview app, and the app’s Basic Cloud Storage enabled for free 7-day clip retention.

Will the 120° lens and 1080p sensor still give useful footage if I keep my older mechanical chime?

The camera’s digital zoom and 1080p capture work independently of any chime, so the older hardware does not affect video quality or motion alerts.
