Clover SD400 2K 4MP Solar PTZ Camera

The Clover SD400 is a wireless outdoor security camera that captures 2K 4MP video at 1440p resolution. It features a fixed solar panel for assisted charging and a 4000 mAh battery for wire-free operation. Dual-band WiFi connects on 2.4 or 5 GHz bands. Pan and tilt motors provide a 360 degree field of view.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This camera suits homeowners who want a wire-free outdoor camera with solar-assisted charging and full-color night vision. It supports microSD cards up to 128 GB and optional cloud storage. Buyers who need continuous 24/7 recording should consider other options because the PIR sensor triggers event-based recording only.

Dual-band WiFi 2.4 and 5 GHz connection

The camera connects to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks. For outdoor installations the 2.4 GHz band gives better range through walls up to 10 metres from the router. Firmware version 3.0.25 or higher improves battery management and reduces charging notifications. Stable WiFi is the single specification that decides whether this camera will work reliably at the chosen mounting location.

Questions about this item

Does the Clover SD400 need a microSD card or cloud plan to record footage?

How can I confirm the solar panel is charging the battery after installation?
