Active DisplayPort to DVI adapter
The Club3D CAC-1010 is an active adapter that converts a DisplayPort source to a Dual-Link DVI-D signal. It draws power from an attached USB-A cable and includes a 60 cm tether. The adapter supports a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz and 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz. It is designed for single-display use and transmits digital signals only.
Suited for legacy monitors without HDCP
This adapter targets users connecting older Dual-Link DVI monitors such as Apple Cinema displays that do not require HDCP. It will not work with displays or sources that enforce HDCP handshakes. Analogue VGA signals are not supported, so VGA-only screens need a different solution. Buyers needing multi-monitor setups from one port should look elsewhere.
Dual-Link DVI-D output requirement
The adapter outputs a Dual-Link DVI-D signal and requires a Dual-Link DVI cable between the adapter and the monitor. A Single-Link DVI cable will not carry the higher resolutions. Verify that both the monitor and the cable support Dual-Link DVI-D before purchasing.

Questions about this item
What length is the attached USB-A power cable on the CAC-1010 adapter?
The attached USB-A power cable is 60 cm or 23.62 inches long, supplying the power the active adapter needs to drive a Dual-Link DVI display.
Does the CAC-1010 adapter require a separate DVI cable to reach the monitor?
Yes, you must connect a DVI Dual-Link cable between the adapter’s DVI-D port and the monitor; the adapter itself only outputs digital signals and does not carry the video link to the screen.
Will the CAC-1010 adapter need a firmware update or driver install to keep working with future operating systems?
The adapter is a pure hardware signal converter with no firmware or drivers, so no software updates are required; only the USB-A power connection must remain functional for continued operation.
