CMC International Mercedes Benz SSKL #12 Otto Merz 1931 1/18 Limited Edition 600 pcs

1/18 Mercedes SSKL Limited Edition

This 1/18 scale diecast model replicates the Mercedes Benz SSKL #12 driven by Otto Merz in the 1931 Grand Prix of Germany. Limited to 600 pieces worldwide, it is built for adult collectors who value historical accuracy and museum-grade detail. The model arrives brand new in its original unopened packaging. Hand-crafted from over 1700 parts, it represents a significant acquisition for serious enthusiasts.

Diecast construction with authentic finishes

The body is authentically formed from diecast metal with select plastic components, featuring a lightweight steel frame replication. Real rubber tyres, metal-finished leaf springs, copper-design brake drums with cooling fins, and stainless steel fuel filler hinges demonstrate the build quality. Removable centre-lock wheel fasteners, a detachable spare wheel with locking handle, and a split bonnet with leather-belt fastenings allow close inspection of the detailed engine compartment and cockpit gauges.

Upgrade from standard diecast replicas

This model replaces generic 1/18 scale cars that lack official licensing, real leather seats, or metal exhaust hoses. The jump is worth it for collectors who require authentic cockpit replication, grille and rock guard metal finishes, and a movable throttle-ignition lever at the steering wheel. Buyers seeking a toy for play or models without individually numbered limited-edition status should look elsewhere.
