Fixed-mount barcode reader captures 1D and 2D codes at 1600×1200 resolution and 40 fps with IP65 aluminium housing and 24 Vdc supply
The Cognex DataMan 303X is a new fixed-mount reader that decodes both 1D and 2D codes using a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor with global shutter. It captures 1600x1200 pixel images at up to 40 frames per second for automated identification tasks.
Communication relies on an 8-pin M12 Ethernet link plus a 12-pin M12 power connection and a 5-pin M12 accessory port. The aluminium housing meets IP65 protection and operates on a 24 V dc supply with RS-232 also available.
On-board firmware supports 1DMax, 2DMax, IDQuick and omni-directional 1D reading to handle varied label quality and orientation. Buyers who need different decoding libraries or a handheld form factor should consider other models.

The 303X uses a 1/1.8" CMOS with global shutter at 1600x1200 pixels and runs at 40 fps; choose C-mount for interchangeable lenses or S-mount for compact fixed optics depending on working distance and field of view.
It captures 1600x1200 images at 40 frames per second without motion blur, so fast-moving 1D and 2D codes are read reliably in a single pass.
The 8-pin M12 provides the reader's Ethernet link for 24 Vdc-powered operation; the connector is rated for standard industrial Ethernet communication used by the 300 series.
