Mini robot walkie talkies for children

This two-pack of Comedyfun radios operates on the 400-470 MHz band with ten preset channels. Each unit weighs 62g and measures 1.96 x 1.27 x 4.6 inches, shaped to fit small hands. The water-resistant ABS housing survives drops up to five feet, and a lanyard hole allows easy carrying during outdoor play.

Suited for young explorers aged three to eight

Simple push-to-talk buttons and a channel-lock function let children communicate without complex menus. The clear-voice technology delivers non-static audio up to 1000 feet in ideal conditions, making the set practical for backyard games, camping trips or indoor adventures. Buyers needing rechargeable power or longer-range professional coverage should look at other radio types.

Two handsets share ten channels on 3.5 V DC

The pack includes both units, each powered by three AAA batteries (not supplied) for 3.5 volts of direct current. Ten channels provide enough separation for sibling groups or small teams, while the 400-470 MHz range keeps communication clear over typical play distances. Range drops in dense woods or built-up areas, and there is no headset jack or repeater capability for extended coverage.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy batteries before the walkie talkies will turn on?

Yes, the set requires six AAA batteries, which are not included in the box.

Can these mini units share a channel with my older 400-470 MHz handsets?

Both operate on the same 400-470 MHz band with 10 channels, so matching the channel number lets them talk to each other.

How can I confirm the radios are transmitting clearly after inserting batteries?

Press the push-to-talk button on one unit and listen for loud, non-static voice audio on the other at short range.
