AM/FM clock radio with radio-controlled time, 14 presets, HWS buzzer, sleep and nap timers, aux-in and headphone jack
The Sangean RCR-22 is a compact AM/FM clock radio designed for bedside use. It receives both broadcast bands through a PLL synthesized tuner and sets its clock automatically via DCF or WWVB signals. Fourteen presets store seven stations per band for quick access.
The unit runs from 120 V 60 Hz mains power and delivers 800 mW output through its built-in speaker. A 3.5 mm headphone jack allows private listening without disturbing others. Loudness on/off and adjustable alarm buzzer level let you tailor volume to the room.
A 3.5 mm auxiliary input connects phones or portable players for playback through the speaker. Sleep timer adjusts from 15 to 120 minutes and nap timer from 10 to 120 minutes. Weekday alarm selection and snooze function support varied schedules.

Plug the unit into a 120 V 60 Hz outlet, set the time-zone switch, then wait for the automatic DCF/WWVB reception to set the time; the step people miss is placing the radio near a window overnight for the initial signal lock.
The clock relies on mains power, so after an outage the radio-controlled receiver will re-sync automatically; no user-replaceable backup cell is mentioned in the specifications.
The adjustable sleep timer can be set from 15 to 120 minutes in steps you choose, and the radio will power down once the selected duration expires.
