Command Nickel Metal Hook

The Command 17037MBN-ES is a single-point adhesive hook made from metal with a glossy nickel finish. It uses a peel-and-stick backing so no tools or drilling are required for installation. The package includes one hook and two adhesive strips for mounting. It is designed for indoor use on smooth surfaces.

Suits Light Organising Tasks

This hook works well for hanging keys, lightweight tools, or décor items up to its rated limit. It is not intended for heavy loads, overhead mounting, or surfaces like brick, concrete, or textured paint. Renters or owners needing a temporary hold without damage will find it useful. Anyone needing to secure items heavier than five pounds should use mechanical fasteners instead.

Five-Pound Working Load Limit

The hook carries a working load limit of five pounds, providing headroom for everyday lightweight items. It projects three-quarters of an inch from the wall with a base width of one inch. The adhesive bond reaches full strength after the recommended set time. Exceeding the stated limit risks failure and surface damage.

Questions about this item

What surface must I have ready for the adhesive back to hold the hook?

The adhesive back bonds to clean, smooth surfaces such as painted drywall, tile, metal or glass; avoid rough, porous or freshly painted walls.

Will the 5 lb working load limit still apply if I hang the hook on a textured plaster wall?

Textured plaster reduces adhesive contact, so the 5 lb limit may not be reached; test with a light item first.

How can I confirm the hook is holding its rated load after I press it in place?

Wait the recommended dwell time, then hang a known weight up to 5 lb and verify the hook stays secure without peeling.
