Damage-Free Hook for Light Items

This Command hook holds up to 5 lb using adhesive strips instead of nails or screws. It suits renters, dorm residents and anyone who wants to hang hats, bags, leashes or lightweight décor without damaging painted walls, wood, glass, tile or metal surfaces. The oil-rubbed bronze finish fits modern living spaces.

Adhesive Limits on Rough or Humid Surfaces

The strips bond only to smooth, clean, dry indoor surfaces; they will not stick reliably to textured plaster, brick, concrete, wallpaper or fresh paint. Heavy humidity or direct water exposure — such as inside a shower enclosure — can weaken the adhesive over time, so the hook is not rated for wet areas.

Metal Hook with Replaceable Strips

The zinc-alloy hook resists everyday corrosion and the two included strips let you install it once and re-mount later by purchasing replacement strips separately. Removal leaves no holes, marks or sticky residue, allowing quick redecorating in apartments, offices or dorm rooms without tool marks on the wall.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 5 lb hook or a lighter-duty version?

This hook holds up to 5 lb, making it suitable for heavier items like bags or leashes; lighter-duty hooks are better for keys or small décor under 3 lb.

What does the 5 lb rating mean when the hook is on my wall?

The 5 lb limit applies when the strip bonds to a clean, smooth surface such as painted drywall, tile, or glass; rough or textured walls will reduce the safe working load.

Which adhesive system does this hook use and what surfaces does it stick to?

It uses the included Command strips, which bond to painted walls, finished wood, glass, tile, and metal without tools and remove cleanly without residue.
