A 7-element Yagi antenna covering 806-869 MHz with 10 dBd gain, N female connector, 150 W power handling and 125 mph wind rating
The CommScope DB499-A is a 7-element Yagi antenna delivering 10 dBd gain across the 806-869 MHz band. It suits land-mobile radio, public-safety and utility telemetry installations that require a durable directional antenna. The 150 W power rating supports base-station and repeater sites. Buyers needing wider bandwidth or higher gain for other bands should look elsewhere.
The antenna terminates in a single N female connector positioned at the bottom of the boom. Maximum VSWR is 1.5:1 across the stated band, and continuous power handling stops at 150 W. The driven element sits inside a protective radome to reduce icing impact and corrosion. Systems requiring a different connector type, lower VSWR or higher power capacity will need another model.
Rugged aluminium construction meets RoHS 2002/95/EC and withstands wind speeds up to 125 mile/h. The boom measures 30.5 in long and 6 in wide, weighing 5 lb. Two supplied V-bolts accept masts up to 3 in diameter for vertical polarisation mounting. Installers needing tilt adjustment, lighter weight or a different mast interface must source alternative hardware.

This antenna covers the full 806-869 MHz range with 10 dBd gain, a 60° horizontal beamwidth and 30° vertical beamwidth, suited for fixed point-to-point links in that band.
The 10 dBd (12.1 dBi) gain focuses radiated power into a 60° horizontal and 30° vertical pattern, increasing effective range compared with a dipole while keeping VSWR below 1.5:1 across the band.
The direct N female termination handles up to 150 W input and maintains the 1.5:1 maximum VSWR, so feed-line loss is determined by your chosen coaxial cable rather than the antenna interface.
