Universal lock-slot adapter

The Compulocks BLD01CL adds a standard security slot to any laptop, tablet or netbook that lacks one. Industrial-strength 3M VHB adhesive bonds the bracket to a flat surface at least 7 inches long. The retractable blade stays nearly flush when not in use.

Retractable blade under tension

The steel blade extends 3.14 inches to accept a cable lock and retracts when released. The assembly is rated to hold in excess of 100 pounds of force, so the anchor point will not pull free during a sustained tug. No moving parts protrude when the blade is stowed.

Thermal and acoustic profile

The bracket sits 0.31 inches above the chassis, creating an air gap that improves ventilation under the device. Adhesive mounting adds no fan noise, no coil whine and no electrical draw. Surface temperature of the host device is unaffected by the bracket itself.
