16 GB dual-channel DDR3 kit (2 × 8 GB, 1333 MHz, CL9, 1.5 V) validated for 27-inch iMac 3.4 GHz Core i7 and 3.1 GHz Core i5
This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM modules rated at 1333 MHz with CL9 timing. It is built for the 27-inch iMac models running a 3.4 GHz Core i7 or a 3.1 GHz Core i5 and matches the factory DDR3-10600 specification.
Each module operates at the standard 1.5 V DDR3 voltage and carries no heat spreader, relying on the iMac’s internal airflow. Unbuffered, non-ECC chips keep the electrical load low, so the memory adds minimal heat and draws no extra power beyond the stock configuration.
The 204-pin sticks install directly into the iMac’s four SO-DIMM slots, leaving two sockets free for a future upgrade to the 32 GB ceiling. Buyers who need ECC, registered DIMMs or a different DDR generation cannot use this kit.

Power off, unplug, lay the screen face-down on a soft cloth, press the memory door button to open the compartment, eject any existing modules by spreading the side clips, align the notch on each 8 GB stick with the slot key, press firmly until the clips snap shut, then replace the door before turning the iMac upright.
The unbuffered non-ECC DDR3 modules have no moving parts and require no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if a stick fails, which is covered by the manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty when purchased directly from Computer Memory Solutions.
Apple officially supports 16 GB for this model, so the firmware-recognised capacity ceiling is reached before any thermal or voltage throttle from the 1.5 V CL9 memory itself.
