A 32 GB kit of four 8 GB DDR3 ECC unregistered DIMMs running at 1600 MHz with CL11 timing at 1.5 V
This 32GB kit provides four 8GB DDR3 ECC unregistered DIMMs running at 1600MHz with CL11 timings. It targets administrators upgrading compatible servers or workstations that require error-correcting memory without registered buffering. The 1.5V modules use 240-pin connectors and 2Rx8 organisation.
The 32GB aggregate suits virtualisation hosts, database nodes or compute nodes needing ECC integrity at moderate density. Four modules fill a typical quad-channel bank, leaving no spare slots on many platforms; expansion beyond 32GB would require higher-density DIMMs not included here.
The combination of ECC with unregistered signalling at 1600MHz CL11 is the decisive specification; registered or load-reduced platforms cannot use these modules, and non-ECC consumer boards will ignore the error-correction capability.

All memory in the system will run at the slowest performance of the installed modules or the CPU capability, so adding slower DDR3 sticks will reduce the speed of these 1600 MHz modules.
Enter the BIOS after installation and verify the memory frequency reads 1600 MHz and the CAS latency shows 11-11-11, which matches the rated speed and timing of this kit.
The kit contains four 8 GB DDR3 ECC non-registered 240-pin DIMMs; no cables, tools or additional accessories are included.
