The module runs at PC3-10600 DDR3-1333, so the memory controller will not operate it faster than 1333 MT/s even if the chipset supports DDR3-1600. Total system memory is limited to 8 GB across both sockets, so adding this stick to an existing 4 GB module reaches the maximum.
