The board will run all modules at the slowest common speed and loosest timings. Mixing CL9 with CL11 means both sets operate at CL11, which is stable but does not use the lower latency of this kit.

How can I confirm the system recognises both 4 GB sticks at 1333 MHz after installation?

Open Task Manager, go to the Performance tab, select Memory and verify the speed reads 1333 MHz and total capacity shows 8 GB. CPU-Z SPD tab will also list each module as PC3-10600 CL9.
