8GB DDR4 2400 SO-DIMM CL17 260-pin laptop memory upgrade for DDR4 systems
This is an 8GB DDR4 2400 SO-DIMM module built for laptop upgrades. It uses the 260-pin form factor and runs at 1.2V with CL17 timings. The stick is unbuffered and non-ECC, matching standard notebook memory controllers. A 64-bit operating system is required to address the full capacity.
The module has no heat spreader, keeping the profile low for tight chassis. Major-brand chips are used to reduce compatibility risk. Mixing with other brands is possible, though the system will run at the slowest installed module speed. Matched-pair installation is recommended for best throughput.
DDR4 SO-DIMM tops out at the speeds and voltages defined by the JEDEC standard, so this module cannot exceed its rated 2400 MT/s. It is not compatible with DDR3 slots, which use a 204-pin layout and different signalling. Older platforms limited to 4GB per slot will not recognise the full 8GB.

The module is rated PC4-19200, so it operates at 2400 MHz when the platform supports that data rate; otherwise it downclocks to the highest speed the CPU or chipset allows.
No, the stick uses a 260-pin DDR4 key notch, which is physically different from the 204-pin DDR3 notch and will not seat in a DDR3 socket.
Power off, open the memory door, align the notch with the slot key, press firmly until both side clips click, then boot into a 64-bit OS to address all 8 GB.
