This 16GB kit contains two 8GB DDR3 1333 ECC Registered DIMMs built for the ASUS Z8NA-D6 and Z8NA-D6C server boards. It is intended for administrators expanding memory in those specific platforms. Buyers with consumer desktop boards or unbuffered-only servers cannot use this registered memory.

Verify Board Slots and Processor

Confirm the server uses a Xeon 5500 series processor such as the X5550 or higher to reach 1333MHz with one DIMM per channel. With two DIMMs per channel the speed drops to 800MHz. The board supports either Registered or Unbuffered ECC but not both mixed together. Quad Rank modules do not run at 1333MHz on Xeon 5500 series.

Two Matched Modules Included

The package supplies two matched 240-pin sticks so you can populate a channel pair for dual-channel operation. No heat spreader is guaranteed and no software or cables are included. The kit enables capacities up to 96GB when all six Registered DIMM sockets are filled.
