8GB kit of two 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL7 SO-DIMM modules for compatible Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch models
This 8GB kit supplies two 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMMs rated at 1333MHz with CL7 timings. It is built for Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch models that use 204-pin DDR3 memory. The modules are unbuffered, non-ECC and run at 1.5V.
Standard DDR3 SO-DIMMs without heat spreaders draw modest power at 1.5V and produce little heat in normal laptop operation. No active cooling is required and the modules add no audible noise to the system.
Installing the matched pair enables dual-channel operation on supported MacBook Pro 15-inch models from 2011. The upgrade raises total memory to the 8GB maximum for those machines, improving multitasking and responsiveness for everyday workloads.

Power off the Mac, remove the bottom case screws, ground yourself, then insert each 4 GB stick at an angle until the clips snap shut — the step most people skip is pressing firmly on both ends until you hear two distinct clicks per module.
No scheduled maintenance is required; the unbuffered non-ECC modules have no moving parts or batteries, so they run until a rare cell failure occurs, at which point you simply replace the faulty 4 GB stick.
The 1.5 V operating voltage and CL7 7-7-7 timings set the thermal and stability ceiling; prolonged full-load use will hit the DDR3 voltage envelope before bandwidth becomes a bottleneck.
