Purpose and audience

This safety sign displays the legend "Not An Exit" in English on a white background. It is intended for facility managers and safety officers who need to mark non-exit doorways in commercial or industrial buildings to comply with egress routing requirements.

Pre-installation checks

Verify the mounting surface can accommodate a horizontal rectangle measuring 14 inches wide by 10 inches high. Confirm the plastic material suits the indoor environment where the sign will be placed. Ensure the single-sided print orientation matches the viewing angle required at the installation location.

Replacement guidance

This unit replaces a missing, damaged or illegible "Not An Exit" sign of the same dimensions and legend style. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing signage no longer meets visibility standards or when a facility audit identifies unmarked non-exit doors that could mislead occupants during an emergency.
