Replaces Worn or Missing Shelter Markers

This sign replaces damaged, faded or absent shelter-area markers in facilities that must meet bilingual requirements. The jump is worth it when an existing sign no longer meets visibility standards or when a new shelter zone is designated and needs immediate, compliant identification.

Check Mounting Surface and Local Codes

Verify that the mounting surface suits a 14 by 10 inch aluminum panel and that the vertical orientation matches the intended viewing angle. Confirm that local regulations accept a single-sided, green-background legend with the specified bilingual text before ordering.

Questions about this item

What mounting holes or hardware does the 14 by 10 inch aluminum sign need for wall installation?

The vertical rectangle sign measures 14 inches high by 10 inches wide and is made of aluminum. Standard mounting holes for this size are typically pre-drilled in each corner for screws or bolts.

How do I install the bilingual severe weather shelter sign so the English and Spanish text reads correctly?

Mount the sign vertically with the green background facing outward. The single printed side shows the shelter symbol and text in both languages; ensure the top edge is level so the legend reads upright.

Will the aluminum sign fade or need replacement after outdoor exposure to sun and rain?

Aluminum resists rust and corrosion, but prolonged UV exposure can fade the green background and printed legend over time. Inspect annually and replace if reflectivity or legibility drops below local safety standards.
