Two-computer VGA KVM switch
The ConnectGear MG2 lets one keyboard, mouse and monitor control two PCs through VGA and PS/2 connections. It supports resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 and includes two 6-foot cable kits for immediate setup. Switching is handled by front-panel buttons, hot keys or an automatic 10-second scan mode.
Multi-PC users needing PS/2 and VGA
This unit suits administrators or home users who run two legacy systems with PS/2 peripherals and VGA displays. It does not serve setups that require USB keyboard or mouse ports, digital video outputs such as DVI or HDMI, or more than two connected computers.
Maximum 1600 x 1200 video resolution
The switch passes analog VGA signals up to 1600 x 1200, which determines whether existing monitors will display correctly. Console cables are limited to 2 metres and PC cables to 10 metres, so cable routing must stay within those distances.

Questions about this item
Which connectors must the console keyboard and mouse already have to plug into the MG2?
The console side expects PS/2 Mini-DIN6 connectors for both keyboard and mouse.
If I keep one PC on a legacy PS/2 port and another on a newer USB-to-PS/2 adapter, will the switch handle both?
The MG2 provides two HDB15 PC ports with bundled PS/2 cable kits, so each connected PC must present PS/2 keyboard and mouse signals.
How can I confirm the switch is actively routing video at the full 1600 x 1200 capability after setup?
The front-panel Active LED for the selected PC lights when that port is live, and the Scan LED flashes during automatic 10-second cycling.
