Float Valve Kit with Adjustable Arm
This 1/2 in MNPT float valve kit includes a polyethylene float and an adjustable arm for liquid-level control in tanks and cisterns. The valve body is PVC and the assembly is listed to NSF standards. It is suited for installers who need a compact, corrosion-resistant shut-off device for potable or non-potable water systems.
Float and Adjustable Arm Function
The polyethylene float measures 1-1/2 in by 4 in and rides the liquid surface to actuate the valve through the adjustable arm. Changing the arm position alters the shut-off level without tools, letting the same kit serve different tank depths. The float material resists water absorption and chemical attack in typical storage applications.
Flow Limits at Rated Pressures
At 40 psi the valve delivers 1.3 gpm, rising to 1.6 gpm at 60 psi, with a maximum working pressure of 100 psi. Systems that require higher flow rates or operate above 100 psi will need a larger valve or a pressure-reducing arrangement. The 1/2 in MNPT connection also limits the maximum pipe size that can be used directly.

Questions about this item
Does the polyethylene float or PVC valve body need periodic replacement?
The kit uses a polyethylene float and a PVC valve body; both are corrosion-resistant materials that typically last for years in potable-water service before any replacement is needed.
At the rated 100 psi maximum pressure, will the 1.6 gpm flow at 60 psi become the limiting factor?
The valve delivers 1.6 gpm at 60 psi and 1.3 gpm at 40 psi; at the 100 psi maximum the flow will be higher, so pressure rating rather than flow capacity is the first limit reached.
Will the valve chatter or transmit vibration when it runs continuously at 60 psi?
The float-operated design has no solenoid or moving electrical parts, so it operates silently without chatter or vibration at the rated 1.6 gpm and 60 psi.
