The CG-4P31G1EA adapter adds four RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports to a notebook, desktop, server or thin-client through a single upstream USB Type-C port. Each port operates at 10/100/1000M and can be toggled on or off with a dedicated DIP switch. The unit ships with a wall-mounting kit and supports an optional DIN-rail kit for industrial use. Windows drivers are stored on the device for automatic installation.

Capacity and headroom

Four independent Gigabit links share the 5 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 1 uplink, so aggregate throughput is limited by that bus when all ports are active at high load. The adapter handles typical file transfers, backups and network-storage access comfortably, but sustained line-rate traffic on every port simultaneously will saturate the upstream connection. Power-saving modes are supported across all USB standards down to 1.1.
