Wire Protection Plate for Studs
This press-on plate shields electrical cables, data lines and plumbing pipes from drywall screws during installation. It is designed for use with both metal and wood studs in residential or commercial framing. The pre-galvanised steel construction meets UL and CUL safety standards.
Pre-Galvanised Steel Build
The silver-coloured plate is formed from pre-galvanised steel that resists corrosion on the job site. Its press-on mounting requires no separate fasteners, so it can be fitted quickly while running cables or pipes through stud bays. The flat profile sits flush against the framing member.
Verify Stud Compatibility
Confirm that your wall or ceiling assembly uses standard metal or wood studs before ordering. The plate is not intended for concrete, masonry or other substrate types. Check local code requirements for nail-plate protection in the areas you are wiring or plumbing.

Questions about this item
Does the UL/CUL listing limit the protection plate to certain voltage or current ratings?
The UL/CUL standard covers the plate as a mechanical shield for cables and pipes; it does not assign a voltage or ampere rating to the plate itself.
What stud dimensions does the pre-galvanized steel plate accommodate?
The press-on design fits standard metal or wood studs without requiring fasteners or specific flange widths.
How do you attach the plate, and what mistake should be avoided?
Press the plate onto the stud so the teeth grip the flange; do not screw or nail through the plate, which would defeat the screw-shield purpose.
