The switch draws power from the USB bus so no external adapter is required, and it works with Windows and macOS out of the box.

Replaces manual cable swapping

Instead of physically moving USB plugs each time you change systems, the front push button toggles the active computer while LEDs show which port is live. The upgrade is worthwhile when you switch several times a day and want to keep keyboard, mouse, printer and external drive connected to both machines simultaneously. It does not suit workflows that demand automatic or software-triggered switching because the device requires manual selection every time.

Four USB 3.0 ports at 5 Gb/s

Each of the four console ports supports USB 3.0 transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s, giving ample headroom for external SSDs, high-resolution webcams and multi-channel audio interfaces. The included 1.5 m cables connect the switch to both computers, but very long peripheral cables or daisy-chained hubs may reduce usable bandwidth.
