Corn Electronics 4 Port PCI Express USB 3.0 Card 2 External 2 Internal SATA Power UASP Support

SKU CH-8828-X2TTV

Adds two external and two internal USB 3.0 ports via PCIe with SATA power and UASP support

  • Add internal USB 3.0 devices via two motherboard-style headers
  • Connect external drives directly through two rear USB 3.0 ports
  • Power the card reliably using a standard SATA connector
  • Achieve faster transfers with UASP delivering up to 70 percent gain
  • Install without extra drivers on Windows 8.1 or 8 systems

Add-In Card for USB 3.0 Expansion

This PCIe add-in card provides four SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, split between two external connectors and two internal motherboard-style headers. It draws auxiliary power from a SATA connector and supports UASP for improved throughput with compatible storage devices. The half-height bracket allows installation in standard or low-profile chassis.

Suited for Builders Needing Extra Headers and Ports

The card addresses systems where onboard USB 3.0 headers are fully occupied, letting you attach front-panel hubs or card readers without a motherboard change. Users who require more than four additional ports or who need internal headers of a different physical layout should consider alternative expansion options.

Key Spec Is the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 Interface with UASP

Data moves at up to 5 Gbps per port and UASP can reduce protocol overhead for supported drives. The interface does not exceed this ceiling, so devices that demand a higher signalling rate will operate at the lower speed.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the two external ports or the two internal headers for my front-panel hub?

The card provides both simultaneously — two external USB 3.0 ports on the bracket and two internal motherboard-style headers for front-panel devices.

What does the 5 Gbps headline speed actually deliver inside my PC?

With UASP enabled the card can reach roughly 70 percent faster real-world throughput than standard bulk endpoints, limited by the 5 Gbps SuperSpeed link.

Does the SATA power connector cap the USB 3.0 bandwidth?

No — SATA supplies only auxiliary power; the four USB 3.0 ports run at full 5 Gbps over the PCI Express lane.
