This 1.8m uni-directional cable converts a DisplayPort 1.4 source to an HDMI 2.1 display. It suits users connecting a DP-equipped desktop or laptop to an HDMI monitor, TV or projector. The gold-plated terminals and aluminium shells provide durable connectivity. A velcro cable tie is included for cable management.

Bandwidth and resolution limits

The DisplayPort 1.4 side handles 32.4Gbps while the HDMI 2.1 side supports 48Gbps. Maximum output reaches 8K at 30Hz or 4K at 120Hz. Supported refresh rates also include 5K at 60Hz, 2K at 165Hz, 144Hz and 60Hz, plus 1080p. DSC 1.2a compression enables the highest resolutions.

Directional conversion constraint

This cable only works from a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display. It cannot transmit video from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor. Buyers needing the reverse signal path must choose a different adapter. Verify that both source and display support the desired resolution and refresh rate before purchase.
