Product Identity

The Corn Electronics DZ-WXWK-USB-001 is a compact USB Wi-Fi adapter that adds dual-band wireless connectivity to a desktop or laptop. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n on the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac on the 5 GHz band, delivering a combined AC600 rating of up to 600 Mbps.

Suitability

This adapter suits owners of older Windows systems from XP through 10, plus Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.11, who need a simple way to join 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz networks. It is not for buyers who require the higher throughput of newer wireless standards or support for recent operating-system releases beyond those listed.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that determines fit is the AC600 dual-band rating, split as 150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 433 Mbps on 5 GHz. If your router and use case demand faster link speeds than these figures provide, a different class of adapter is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DZ-WXWK-USB-001 and which step is most often missed?

Insert the CD, run the driver setup, then plug the adapter into a USB port. Many users plug it in before the driver finishes, so the device stays unrecognised.

What part of the DZ-WXWK-USB-001 will need replacement first?

The detachable 2dBi antenna is the only removable component; if the connector loosens or the element breaks, replace the antenna rather than the whole dongle.

What limit appears first when the DZ-WXWK-USB-001 runs under sustained load?

The USB 2.0 interface caps real-world throughput well below the 433 Mbps 5 GHz or 150 Mbps 2.4 GHz link rates during long transfers.
