Resolution and distance limits

Video bandwidth reaches 10.8 Gbps, enabling 1080P transmission up to 15 m. The adapter is uni-directional, so it only works from DisplayPort to HDMI. Auxiliary channel runs at 1 Mbps. Hot-plugging is supported, but the fixed hook on the DisplayPort plug must be pressed to release it.

Installing and common issues

Simply connect the DisplayPort male end to the source and an HDMI cable to the female port; the built-in chip starts working immediately. Audio will only appear if the computer's DisplayPort output includes audio support. The one-way design means it cannot drive a DisplayPort monitor from an HDMI source.
