Compact 61-key Gundam keyboard

The Corn Electronics Gundam RX-78-2 is a wired mechanical keyboard with a 61-key layout. It uses Black Switches for a linear feel without tactile bump or audible click. The compact form factor saves desk space for gamers and typists who prefer minimal hand travel.

Hot-swap PBT keycaps and Type-C link

Double-shot PBT keycaps with five-sided dye sublimation resist shine and feature Gundam-themed legends. Hot-swap sockets let you change switches without soldering. A detachable Type-C cable connects securely and packs easily for transport between setups.

Upgrade from membrane or full-size boards

The 61-key layout removes the function row, navigation cluster and numpad, so users who rely on dedicated arrow keys or a number pad will need a different size. The jump is worth it when portability, desk clearance and switch customisation matter more than extra keys.

Questions about this item

What does the Type-C wired connection support?

The detachable Type-C cable provides a wired USB link with full 61-key anti-ghosting and powers the white backlight across 21 lighting effects.

How much space and weight should I plan for?

The keyboard weighs 1200 g and uses a compact 61-key layout that fits on small desks without a numeric keypad or dedicated arrow cluster.

How do I change lighting modes and what is the common mistake?

Press FN plus the backslash key to cycle through 21 effects; the frequent error is holding FN too briefly so the mode does not register.
