Splits one Mini DisplayPort 1.2 signal into two DisplayPort outputs at 4K 60 Hz on Windows with MST, mirror only on Mac, and includes a Micro USB power cable
This adapter converts a single Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output into two DisplayPort connections, each capable of 4K resolution at 60Hz. It uses Multi-Stream Transport to enable extended desktop modes on Windows, while Mac systems are limited to mirrored output only. A Micro USB power cable is included and must be connected for stable operation.
Windows users gain dual independent displays for multitasking across two 4K monitors. Mac users cannot extend the desktop; the adapter only mirrors the same image to both screens. Buyers who need extended desktop on macOS should look at a different solution, as this hardware does not support that mode on Mac OS.
The source must provide a Mini DisplayPort 1.2 signal and the graphics card must support more than two external displays. Intel HD Graphics is limited to three external monitors total. The adapter will not function with Microsoft Surface Dock or any source lacking MST capability.

Yes — a Mini DisplayPort 1.2 GPU that supports more than two external displays is required; Intel HD Graphics is limited to three external monitors.
No — under Mac OS the splitter only supports mirror mode; extended mode (MST) is available only on Windows.
Open your OS display settings and confirm each monitor shows 4K@60Hz; the splitter is backward compatible with 4K@30Hz, 1080P and 720P if a display negotiates a lower rate.
