Corn Electronics RJ45 Splitter 1-to-2 Shielded 2-Pack

SKU CH-C1H4-89BMN

A shielded RJ45 splitter that lets two devices share one Ethernet port while extending short Cat5-to-Cat7 cables

  • Shielded housing reduces signal interference
  • One port splits into two female RJ45 sockets
  • Extends existing cable runs up to 4 cm adapter length
  • Compatible with Cat 5 through Cat 7 cables
  • Works with routers, switches, TVs and computers

What it is

The Corn Electronics RJ45 Splitter is a shielded 1-to-2 adapter that turns a single Ethernet port into two female sockets. It supports Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables and comes in a two-pack for multiple connection points.

Who it suits and who it does not

This splitter suits setups where two devices share one wall jack or where a short cable needs extending to reach a router, switch, TV or set-top box. It does not suit networks that require full gigabit throughput on both ports at the same time, because the adapter shares the four twisted pairs between the two sockets.

The deciding specification

The key detail is the 1-female-to-2-female 8P8C wiring, which splits the eight conductors so both connected devices can access the internet simultaneously, but total bandwidth is divided between them.

Questions about this item

Does the 8P8C RJ45 splitter support Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables at full gigabit speed?

The adapter is compatible with Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 7 modular plugs, but it splits one cable into two ports so both devices share the single link bandwidth.

Will the 4 cm by 3.5 cm shielded housing fit side-by-side on a crowded router panel?

Each unit measures 4 cm wide, 3.5 cm deep and 2.1 cm high, so two splitters need roughly 8 cm of horizontal clearance when mounted next to each other.

How do I connect two devices so both can access the internet at the same time?

Plug the incoming Ethernet cable into the single female port, then connect each device to one of the two female ports; the splitter passes all eight wires through to both jacks.
