Tunable FPS/MOBA Gaming Mouse

The Corsair NIGHTSWORD RGB is a right-handed wired gaming mouse built for competitive FPS and MOBA players who want precise control over weight and balance. Its optical sensor delivers 18000 dpi sensitivity adjustable in single-step increments. Ten programmable buttons support macros and key remaps for complex in-game actions. The contoured shape with rubber grips is designed for extended comfort during long sessions.

USB 2.0 Wired Connection and Weight System

The mouse connects via a USB 2.0 cable for consistent, low-latency input without wireless interference. Six mounting locations accept two sets of included weights — three at 4.5g and three at 2.8g — enabling 120 distinct weight and balance configurations. Total mass can be tuned between 115g and 137g. CORSAIR iCUE software detects the center of gravity in real time to guide adjustments. Onboard storage saves profiles so settings travel with the mouse to any PC.

Sustained Performance Under Load

The PixArt PMW3391 optical sensor maintains tracking accuracy without smoothing or acceleration during prolonged use. Omron switches rated for high durability keep click response consistent over millions of actuations. Four-zone RGB lighting runs continuously without affecting sensor performance. The fixed cable eliminates battery drain or signal drop-outs during marathon gaming sessions. Software calibration matches the sensor to your playing surface for reliable tracking over time.

Questions about this item

How does the Pixart PMW3391 sensor’s 18000 dpi ceiling behave during long sessions?

The native 18000 dpi optical sensor adjusts in 1 dpi steps, so the hard limit is the sensor’s maximum resolution rather than a thermal or power throttle.

What heat or noise should I expect when the mouse runs all day?

The wired USB 2.0 optical mouse has no fan or active cooling; it stays silent and only warms slightly from hand contact during extended use.

What do I already need for the Smart Tunable Weight System to function?

A Windows PC with a free USB 2.0 port and the Corsair CUE software installed are required for real-time centre-of-gravity detection and weight calibration.
