Premium mechanical keyboard for gamers

The COUGAR 700K is a wired USB gaming keyboard built around 100% genuine Cherry MX Blue switches. Its aluminium brushed frame adds rigidity while the detachable palm rest supports long sessions. Six dedicated G-keys and full per-key backlighting give competitive players quick macro access and clear visibility in low light.

Cooling noise and power draw

As a passive input device the keyboard draws minimal power directly from the USB port and generates no measurable heat or fan noise. The braided cable and gold-plated connectors ensure a stable connection without adding electrical load. Rubber feet keep the aluminium base firmly planted during intense keystrokes.

Cherry MX Blue switch feel

The defining characteristic is the clicky tactile feedback of Cherry MX Blue switches, delivering an audible click and distinct actuation point on every press. This switch type suits typists and gamers who want clear confirmation of each keystroke. Users preferring silent or linear operation will find the click sound and tactile bump unsuitable for shared spaces or rapid double-tap play.

Questions about this item

How do I install the detachable palm rest on the 700K, and what alignment step do people often miss?

Snap the magnetic palm-rest tabs into the matching slots on the keyboard base; the step many miss is seating both sides evenly so the rest sits flat and does not wobble during WASD use.

What maintenance will the Cherry MX Blue switches on the 700K need over time?

Occasional compressed-air cleaning to remove dust from the switch housings and stabilisers; the switches themselves are rated for tens of millions of actuations and do not require lubrication or replacement under normal use.

What limit appears first during extended gaming sessions with the 700K's backlight at full brightness?

The 5-step brightness control caps output at the highest preset; sustained maximum brightness can warm the aluminium top plate, so dropping one step reduces heat without losing key visibility.
