Thermals Noise and Power Draw

Built-in safeguards monitor temperature, voltage and current in real time to protect against overheating, overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuiting. The adapter operates from a standard 100-240V mains supply at 1.5A maximum draw. No fan is present, so the charger runs silently during normal use.

Replacement for 45W and 65W Lenovo USB-C Adapters

This charger replaces Lenovo part numbers such as ADLX65YLC2D, ADLX65YCC2D, ADLX65NCT2A and ADLX65YDC2D. It is not suitable for devices that require more than 65W or use a proprietary barrel connector instead of USB-C.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the USB-C cable to my ThinkPad T14s and what step is often missed?

Plug the USB-C connector firmly into the laptop's USB-C port until it clicks; the step people miss is seating the AC power cable fully into the adapter brick before switching on the mains.

What part of the COWOOGMZ SM65CL-01 will need replacement first and when?

The detachable AC power cable typically wears at the strain relief after 12 to 24 months of daily coiling; the adapter body itself has no user-replaceable parts.

At what output does the 65W adapter hit its thermal limit during continuous load?

Sustained 20V 3.25A (65W) output triggers the built-in temperature safeguard after roughly 45 minutes, causing the charger to throttle until it cools.
