Cox 400 mL epoxy applicator

The Cox DB2C-05-50-005 is a cordless dispenser built for 400 mL cartridges. It handles mix ratios of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1 and 10:1 so one tool covers several epoxy formulations. An 18 V DC motor drives the plunger without a brushless mechanism. The kit includes the bare tool, one 2 Ah battery and a charger, making it ready for jobs away from mains power.

Power draw and noise in use

The 18 V DC system runs from the supplied 2 Ah battery, so current draw stays within the pack’s rated capacity during normal dispensing. No brushless motor is fitted, so the drivetrain produces audible gear noise under load but no high-frequency whine. Without a mains cable the tool adds no circuit load on site. Heat build-up in the motor housing remains low during typical bead-laying work.

Battery and charger impact

The included 2 Ah cell gives enough runtime for multiple 400 mL cartridges before a recharge is needed. Having the charger in the box removes the need to source a compatible 18 V unit separately. Because the kit is a bare tool plus one battery, users who already own Cox 18 V packs can swap cells to extend working time without buying another charger.
