These water-based markers wash from skin, clothing and most painted walls. The set contains twelve classic colours including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown, black, grey, pink, light blue and tan. Conical broad tips cover large areas quickly and are certified AP non-toxic to ASTM D-4236.

Children, classrooms and casual crafters

Ideal for young artists, school projects and everyday colouring where easy cleanup matters. The washable formula removes from hands and fabrics without special treatment. Not suited for permanent artwork, fine detail work, or surfaces that require waterproof ink.

Water-based washable ink

Ink lifts from skin, clothing and painted walls with water, making it the deciding factor for mess-free creative sessions. AP non-toxic certification confirms safety for children. Buyers needing permanent, alcohol-based or archival-quality ink should choose a different marker type.

Questions about this item

What paper size or surface do the broad conical tips of the Crayola 587812 markers work best on?

The broad conical tips fill large areas quickly on standard paper, poster board and cardboard, and the water-based ink also washes from skin, clothing and painted walls.

How do I get the markers flowing if ink does not appear immediately after opening the set?

Press the tip firmly on scrap paper for a few seconds until the water-based ink saturates the conical point; storing the markers horizontally helps keep both ends ready.

When should I replace the Crayola 587812 markers and how can I extend their life?

Replace a marker when the broad tip frays or the colour fades; snap the cap on tightly after each use and store the set horizontally to prevent the water-based ink from drying out.
