Compact 2.0 USB-C desktop speakers

Creative Labs Pebble V2 is a 2.0 wired speaker system powered by USB-C and connected through a 3.5 mm auxiliary input. Two 2-inch full-range drivers with a passive radiator deliver up to 8W RMS and 16W peak power. The 45 degree elevated drivers angle sound toward the listener for personal listening at a desk.

USB-C power and AUX-in upgrade from earlier Pebble

The new USB-C connection draws more current for higher volume without distortion, and a USB-C to USB-A converter is included for older ports. High gain mode unlocks the full 8W RMS output when a 5V 2A or USB-C 10W adapter is used. Analog sources plug into the universal 3.5 mm jack for playback.

Suits minimalist desks needing simple stereo sound

Buyers who want a compact stereo pair with front-mounted volume control and no wall outlet will find this a good fit. Users requiring wireless streaming, a separate subwoofer, surround configurations or professional monitoring accuracy should look at other categories.

Questions about this item

How much desk depth does the 4.80-inch speaker footprint need?

Each satellite measures 4.80 inches deep by 4.50 inches wide and 4.50 inches high, so allow at least that depth plus room for the captive cable between speakers.

Does the USB-C connection carry audio or only power?

The USB-C port supplies power only; audio travels through the separate 3.5 mm AUX-in cable, and a USB-C to USB-A converter is included for older ports.

Is the passive radiator a user-serviceable part?

The passive radiator is built into each sealed enclosure and is not designed to be replaced; no maintenance is required beyond occasional dusting of the driver cones.
