External USB Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac

The Creative Sound Blaster Play! 3 SB1730 connects via USB to deliver 24-bit 96kHz playback and 24-bit 48kHz recording. It works straight out of the box without drivers and suits laptop or desktop users who want better audio than built-in motherboard output.

Replaces integrated motherboard audio

The adapter upgrades a computer from standard onboard sound to high-resolution 24-bit 96kHz playback for music, movies and games. The jump is worth it when onboard audio is noisy, lacks a headphone jack or cannot drive higher-impedance headphones cleanly.

Check for a spare USB port and software needs

Verify the system has an available USB port and runs Windows or macOS to use the downloadable Control Panel software. The device includes optimized profiles for selected earphone brands and accepts single or split stereo/mic connectors without a Y-splitter cable.
