Ceiling-mount sensor for large rooms

The Crestron passive infrared occupancy sensor mounts on the ceiling and monitors up to 2000 square feet with a 360 degree coverage pattern. It connects to a Crestron control system through Cresnet wired communications for integrated lighting and climate control. The low-profile white housing suits conference rooms, hallways and private offices.

Sustained presence detection

Fully digital circuitry provides reliable sensing during continuous occupancy without false triggers. Built-in ambient light recognition and an external photosensor input allow the system to adjust lighting levels based on actual conditions throughout the day. Grace Occupancy feature maintains system status during brief absences.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that a Crestron control system with Cresnet wiring is installed or planned for the space. Confirm ceiling access for mounting and low-voltage cable routing. Ensure the 2000 sq ft coverage matches the room dimensions and layout.

Questions about this item

How much power and heat does the GLS-OIR-C-CN draw when it runs continuously on Cresnet?

The sensor is powered directly over the Cresnet wired bus, so it adds only a minimal load to the control system and produces no noticeable heat during all-day operation.

Which Crestron control-system components must I already have for this sensor to function?

A Crestron control processor with an available Cresnet port and a Cresnet power supply are required to communicate with and power the GLS-OIR-C-CN.

Will the 360-degree coverage and 2000 sq ft range work reliably alongside older Crestron lighting modules I already own?

Yes, the sensor sends standard Cresnet occupancy and ambient-light data, so legacy Crestron lighting and climate modules on the same bus will respond without reprogramming.
