Heavy-Duty Aluminium Stock Pot

The Crestware HPOT40 is a 40 qt aluminium stock pot built for high-volume cooking tasks. Its 5 mm gauge construction provides structural rigidity for demanding kitchen environments. The 15 in overall diameter offers a broad cooking surface suitable for stocks, soups and large-batch preparations. NSF certification confirms compliance with commercial sanitation standards.

Thermal Behaviour and Maintenance

The 5 mm aluminium body distributes heat evenly across the base and sidewalls during extended simmering. Riveted handles remain securely attached under heavy loads and conduct less heat than welded alternatives. The pot is not dishwasher safe and requires hand washing to preserve the aluminium finish. Oven use is not supported by the manufacturer specifications.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Riveted handle construction eliminates weld points that can fail under the weight of 40 qt of liquid. The 14 1/2 in overall height fits standard commercial burners while providing ample headroom to reduce boil-over. No cover is included, so a separate lid must be sourced for covered cooking. Aluminium construction keeps the filled pot lighter than equivalent stainless steel vessels.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Crestware HPOT40 stock pot on my desk?

This is a 40 qt aluminum stock pot with a 15 in diameter, not a desk. It requires no installation; simply place it on a heat source. The riveted handles stay secure during lifting.

What maintenance will the Crestware HPOT40 stock pot need over time?

Hand wash only; it is not dishwasher safe. The 5 mm gauge aluminum resists warping. Inspect riveted handles periodically for tightness. NSF certification means it meets commercial sanitation standards.

What limit appears first when using the Crestware HPOT40 stock pot continuously?

It is not oven safe, so sustained high heat above the stovetop is the limiting factor. The 14 1/2 in height and 40 qt capacity suit large batches, but avoid dry heating the aluminum body.
