1.5 qt Aluminium Sauce Pan

The Crestware PAN1H is a 1.5 qt straight-sided sauce pan formed from 2.5 mm aluminium. A riveted silicone Cool Grip handle stays comfortable during stovetop tasks. NSF certification confirms it meets commercial sanitation standards for professional kitchens.

Build integration and clearance

The pan works on gas, electric or ceramic hobs and nests with other 6 in diameter cookware to save cupboard space. No lid is included, so the open top allows unrestricted stirring and evaporation control. Hand washing is required because the aluminium body is not dishwasher safe.

Thermal behaviour and handling

The 2.5 mm aluminium wall distributes heat evenly for sauces, reheating liquids or blanching small portions. The silicone grip insulates the handle from conducted heat during normal cooking. With no non-stick coating, the surface tolerates metal utensils and high temperatures without degradation.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.5 mm aluminum gauge limit how long the pan can stay on high heat before warping?

The 2.5 mm aluminum body distributes heat evenly, but the pan is not oven safe and the silicone handle is not rated for sustained high-temperature stovetop use.

Will the riveted silicone grip stay cool and quiet during all-day simmering?

The Cool Grip silicone handle is designed to remain comfortable to touch, though it is not oven safe and the pan itself is not dishwasher safe.

What cooktop type do I need already to use this NSF-certified aluminum sauce pan?

The straight-sided aluminum body works on gas, electric coil and ceramic radiant surfaces; it is not induction compatible unless a separate converter disc is used.
