Crown Rely-On Olefin Wiper Mat 48 x 72 Charcoal

This Crown Rely-On wiper mat measures 48 inches wide by 72 inches long and is built for indoor entryways. Its plush olefin surface sits on a standard vinyl backing with a vinyl lip border. The charcoal colour-blend pattern suits professional office environments.

Olefin surface holds up to 0.75 gallon of water

The continuous filament olefin pile is rated for light to medium foot traffic and absorbs up to 0.75 gallon of water per square yard. It is not designed for heavy industrial use or outdoor exposure. The vinyl backing provides a moisture barrier but the mat is not biodegradable and contains no recycled content.

Easy to position on hard floors

The rectangular mat weighs little enough for one person to move and lays flat without tools. The 48 by 1 inch vinyl lip helps keep edges from curling. On very smooth surfaces the vinyl backing may slide; a non-slip pad underneath can help. Edges should be checked periodically for wear in high-traffic spots.

Questions about this item

Which size should I choose for my entrance?

This model comes in a single 48 by 72 inch rectangle, so the choice is simply whether those dimensions fit your doorway and traffic flow.

What does the 0.75 gallon per square yard figure mean in daily use?

It means each square yard of the olefin surface can hold up to 0.75 gallon of water before saturation, so the mat continues drying shoes through repeated wet-foot traffic.

How does the vinyl backing and lip affect installation?

The 0.38 inch thick vinyl backing with a 48 by 1 inch lip keeps the mat flat on hard floors and provides a low-profile transition that reduces tripping.
