  • Floating cover adjusts to food thickness for even contact
  • Die-cast aluminium arms and stainless steel construction

What the Griddler Five Does

The Cuisinart CUIGR5BP1 is a 5-in-1 countertop appliance that works as a contact grill, panini press, full grill, full griddle and half grill half griddle. It suits home cooks who want one device for breakfast, lunch and dinner without storing multiple single-purpose units.

Reversible Plates and Digital Controls

The non-stick cooking plates flip between grill and griddle surfaces and lift out for washing. An LCD screen and digital buttons replace analogue dials, adding a dedicated sear function that spikes heat for a short burst to lock in juices.

Floating Cover and Hot-Surface Safety

The hinge floats to accommodate thick sandwiches or thin crepes, and the whole cover lifts away for open-face cooking. Die-cast aluminium arms and the stainless steel cover become very hot during use; only the handles stay cool enough to touch.

Questions about this item

Will the non-stick coating on the reversible plates need to be replaced over time?

The non-stick plates are removable for cleaning and designed to last; avoid metal utensils to prevent scratching that shortens their life.

Which limit appears first during a long searing session — the plate temperature ceiling or the automatic shut-off?

The unit reaches a maximum sear temperature and holds it; no automatic shut-off time is specified in the product details.

How hot do the die-cast arms and stainless cover get when the Griddler runs continuously?

Both the die-cast aluminum arms and the stainless-steel cover become very hot during use and should not be touched until the unit cools.
